What Are My Whitening Options?

Posted by
  1. Whitening toothpastes are your best option because they are safe and most likely the easiest to use. Most brands carry a whitening option.
  2. Whitening strips are another quick and easy solution. They can be costly, though, so double check the pricing prior to purchase.
Crest 3D White WhiteStrips are probably the most well-known and widely available brand. If you’re at a pharmacy, other off label brands exist and are less costly than name brands.
  3. Paint-on Brush or Brush-On Formulas function as a short-term solution. These
formulas look like a pen and can be applied before bed for two weeks.
  4. Zoom! Whitening (In-Office) advertises that its product can brighten your teeth up to 8 shades whiter. The entire procedure only takes about an hour to complete in-office. However, coming in prior to whitening for a dental cleaning would be most ideal—That way, we can achieve optimal whitening!
To keep your teeth looking pearly white, we recommend brushing your teeth with Zoom! Whitening Toothpaste (and of course flossing as well as brushing your teeth twice daily!).

** For individual inquiries regarding whitening, please consult with one of our dentists to see if your teeth are in healthy enough condition for whitening! We want to be sure there aren’t any existing dental issues such as decay or periodontal (gum) disease, which could be one of the root causes of yellowing. **
